Honey Bee

Hello! Thank you for taking an interest in Honey Bee Photography! My name is Melissa and I have always had a deep love of art and creating things. I took photography in high school, but it wasn't until I owned my first DSLR camera in 2012 that I started really diving into photography. I use natural lighting and computer editing programs (lightroom and photoshop) to create images I hope my clients will cherish forever. I love capturing true emotions in beautiful light.

I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and I'm the youngest of 6 children. I also have 21 amazing nieces and nephews! I am so fortunate that almost all of my family still lives in town. Holidays and birthdays are a little out of control, but I can't imagine life any other way!

I am a mom to 3 beautiful, wild and crazy little boys who keep me on my toes and keep me laughing, and a wife to a man I love deeply.  In March of 2016 our youngest son was diagnosed with very rare, possibly cancerous tumors. He has undergone surgeries to remove these tumors, but he does have to be routinely monitored to make sure they do not come back. My children are my utmost priority, and one of the many things that I love about my job is that it helps give me the ability to stay home with them and work around their schedules.

The older I get the more and more I realize just how important photos are. Photographs have this magical ability to transport us to the time in our lives when that  photo was taken and give life to our memories. I would love to help you preserve your memories.
